Victoria Smith

C.Eng, B.Eng, MIFireE, PMSFPE

I am a Fire Engineer with more than 13 years of experience.

As a Chartered Engineer of the Engineer Council UK, a Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers, and a Professional Member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, I operate at a high level of fire safety technical competency and proficiency.

I have developed fire engineering strategies and design solutions for retail, historical building, national museums and international transport infrastructure development projects.

My other areas of previous experience include fire-related and fire safety management projects for housing associations, local authorities and managers of national monuments, hospitals and care facilities, top-tier COMAH and nuclear sites. I am a former Fire Service Inspector and Technical Manager with in-depth knowledge and experience in legislative fire risk management and compliance. I am fully conversant and engaged with the incoming changes to fire safety-related legislation, British Standards and current government advice and guidance. I am a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers Professional Competency and Credentialing Subcommittee and Ethics Committee.
